“He is not here, but is risen”

“He is not here, but is risen” (Luke 24:5-6). All that I am able to accomplish here on this mission is because of the Atonement and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

This week has been BEAUTIFUL. It is so easy to see God’s hand in the work here. Hay milagros en el CCM (MTC) for sure. In the course of one week we have had three apostles (Elders Christofferson, Ballard, and Cook) come to the MTC and speak, which is just incredible. Like this is unreal. Three devotionals in a row were from Apostles. Wow. We must really need some help here in the MTC if they are sending three apostles in a row down here. Yesterday Elder Cook testified that he knows the Savior’s voice, and he knows His face. This work and church is truly directed by the Savior.

Over the past few days I realized just how involved Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are in our lives and especially in the missionary effort to preach the gospel to the whole world. My companion and I were planning a lesson for Diana (refer to previous email for more info about Diana), and we really focused on how we could help her learn for herself that God loves her. We spent like an hour looking for scriptures that would show her that because God loves her, He made a plan to allow her to return to Him. While we were studying and searching, we would come across scriptures that we both just KNEW we needed to share with her. When it was time to go teach her, we felt super prepared, because we knew we had relied on the Holy Ghost as we prepared. In the lesson she asked lots of questions, but because we had prepared well, we were able to use the scriptures to guide her to the answers she was looking for. It was truly a #milagro.

I promise that if you study the scriptures (especially the Book of Mormon) with true intent and the desire to learn more from the Spirit, you will receive answers to your prayers. God truly does speak to each of us if we are willing to listen. I challenge each of you to find ways to improve your study of the scriptures. Start reading the scriptures everyday. Begin your scripture study with a prayer. Study with a question in mind. I don’t care what you do; just do something. You will be #BLESSED.

LES AMO MUCHO Y LES EXTRAÑO MUCHO. LA IGLESIA DE LOS SANTOS DE LOS ULTIMOS DIAS ES VERDEDERA Y JESUCRISTO VIVE AHORA.
