“…which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:10-11). It is the best (and worst) thing ever to be a missionary during Christmas. WE LITERALLY GET TO TELL EVERYONE THAT THE CHILD THAT WAS BORN OVER TWO THOUSAND YEARS AGO LIVED, DIED, AND THEN WAS RESURRECTED FOR ALL OF US AND THAT BECAUSE OF HIM WE CAN LIVE WITH OUR FAMILIES FOREVERRRRRR. But then I can’t be with my family during this holiday season, which is not the funnest, but it is worth it, yes.
Well well well I have arrived at the last week of my second transfer. What the heck happened to being the newbie in the mission???? Lol. The funny thing is that I will probably train either this next transfer or the one after that. LOL.
The big news this week is that LIDIA GOT BAPTIZED. VAAAAMOS. It was awesome. I was a bit worried about her all week, but she was able to testify to us that she truly wanted to get baptiized for the right reasons, and that she knew the church was true. It was a neat experience to watch her get baptized and receive the Holy Ghost, because I was here from the beginning. I found her! I taught her! And she got baptized. Now her son wants to get baptized too! Yesterday we went to teach him some of the lessons he wasn’t there for when we taught his mom, and the coolest thing happened. Usually Lidia has a really hard time understanding things and can’t explain what she is feeling or thinking, but yesterday she bore her testimony so strongly to Daniel, and I was just sitting there with tears in my eyes, because it was such a miracle. The gift of the Holy Ghost is real. She kept saying over and over how happy and clean she felt after her baptism. It was INCREDIBLE.
We also had two Christmas “parties” this week. One for the mission, and that one was very Spiritual and we ate really good food. The other was for the Branch here, and it was an adventure. Our Branch President asked me to give a talk, so I prepared a nice little talk. We had a great time. The members here are the best!
FELIZ NAVIDAD. I hope you all remember the true meaning of Christmas. CHRISTMAS IS AWESOME.
